Ce projet parle avant tout d’une rencontre : celle de cinq entreprises et de quatre designers aux profils complémentaires. Comment rassembler les spécificités de chacun et dégager une problématique de travail ? Il nous est apparu que les fabricants de l’ameublement cherchent à améliorer nos vies par le confort, mais le confort se mérite ! L’ étymologie de ce mot en témoigne : confort = ce qui rend fort.
This project speaks above all of an encounter: that of five companies and four designers with complementary profiles. How to gather the specificities of each and identify a work problem? It became clear to us that furniture manufacturers seek to improve our lives through comfort!
Comme tout état, il est justifié par son contraire : et si on ne pouvait prendre conscience du confort qu’en vivant l’inconfort ? Nous souhaitons faire vivre au visiteur ce contraste, pour qu’il réalise que nous, designers, fabricants et agenceurs, prenons soin de lui en coulisse.
But what if you could only become aware of comfort by living the discomfort? We want the visitor to experience this contrast, so that one realizes that we, designers and manufacturers, take care of oneself behind the scenes.
